Long-term digital partnerships helping NHS trusts modernise recruitment, onboarding and attraction across complex, evolving organisations.
Recruiting at scale within the NHS brings unique challenges. Large, diverse workforces, constant change and the need for absolute reliability mean digital recruitment solutions must be flexible, robust and built for the long term — not short-term fixes.
For more than a decade, we’ve worked alongside NHS trusts to design and deliver digital platforms that support complex recruitment needs while remaining practical, intuitive and compliant.
One of the most extensive partnerships has been with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). With thousands of recruitment requirements across the Trust, LTHT needed a bespoke onboarding solution and line manager portal capable of supporting multiple roles, departments and workflows. Delivered as a phased, long-term programme, the solution has evolved continuously over more than ten years, adapting to the Trust’s changing needs while helping to define and standardise recruitment processes across the organisation.
The result has been a highly complex yet highly usable system that has become a flagship model within the NHS. In 2017, this work was recognised with the In-House Recruitment award for Best Onboarding Strategy, reflecting both its scale and impact.
Elsewhere, our work with South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust focused on attraction and authenticity. As a specialist mental health and community trust, SWYPFT needed to be clear and honest about the roles they recruit for — and the people best suited to them. A new careers website was developed alongside a content management system, enabling the Trust to keep information current and communicate openly about its work, culture and opportunities.
At York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the challenge was visibility. A bespoke careers website was created to showcase the breadth of clinical and non-clinical roles available, while also promoting the benefits of living and working in the local area — helping the Trust attract talent both professionally and geographically.
Together, these projects reflect a consistent approach: working in partnership with NHS organisations to build digital recruitment platforms that are practical, scalable and designed to evolve. By supporting better attraction, clearer processes and smoother onboarding, digital solutions can play a meaningful role in helping the NHS continue to deliver essential care — now and in the future.
